Five Goodie Drinks from Mother Nature to Give You an Energy Boost
Since I became more aware of our environmental footprint, my diet has also transformed to be healthier and more natural. Having benefited tremendously from natural food and drinks, today I would like to share with you 5 goodie natural drinks offering you an energy boost. My rule, once natural, never go back!

GINGER + LEMON HOT DRINK:
Ginger contains gingerol, responsible for many medicinal properties of this plant as well as its anti-inflammatory characteristics (Source: Healthline). Some researches suggest that antioxidants and bioactive compounds in ginger can mediate inflammatory responses in the brain; Moreover, it is effective against growth of various types of bacteria(Source: NCBI ；NCBI).
Lemon is great for cleansing, refreshing, and it is a good source of vitamin C. The combination of the two can offer you refreshment while boosting your energy level to get you out of the dull zone and mediating the effect of mild bacteria in the body.
Our Recommended Recipe: three thin stripes of ginger and one thin slice of lemon with hot water.
The palm of coconut is soaked with sunshine, maybe this explains how its fruit is blessed. (Virgin) coconut oil has been proven to be one of the healthiest oil for the human body, coconut meat is a good source for fatty acids, fiber, manganese, copper and potassium (Source: Med-Health) and coconut water is commonly used as a hydrating drink. If you have the luxury to find coconut water in your neighbourhood, we definitely recommend. However, we do promote the rule of buying local as it is generally healthier (fewer addictives for preservation) and more sustainable (less transportation). Thus if you do not find coconut water as a local produce,it may be a good idea to postpone your craving for a latent pleasure.

DRINK – CACAO+ COCONUT SUGAR:
Cacao is regarded by the mayans as the food of gods. It has a bitter taste. Some people enjoy it as how they enjoy coffee while the others prefer a combination of cacao and something sweet. If you have a good blender, you can try to blender 2 table spoons of cacao and 1-2 teaspoon(s) of coconut sugar together with water. This combined, it is a nutritious sweet bitter drink, adding some enriching flavours to your day.
Our Recommended Recipe: Blend 2 table spoons of cacao nibs and 2 teaspoons of coconut sugar, with 350ml of water.

SMOOTHIE – AVOCADO + SPINACH + LIME + APPLE:
Avocado is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids, multiple vitamins such as Vitamin K, C, B5, B6 and E, potassium and fibre(Source: Healthline) Spinach as dark greens is a great source for iron, as commonly known. Both Apple and lime are good for cleansing and they add the fresh taste to this drink. All combined, this drink will help you absorb iron with vitamin C, support your cleansing system with good loads of fibre and gives you energy boost with various nutrients.
Our Recommended Recipe: Blend 1 & half avocado, 50 grams of spinach, half lime and 1 apple together. Add 75ml water.

SMOOTHIE – WALNUTS + BEETS +LIME:
Walnuts contain healthy fats beneficial to the body and mind. Beets, on the other hand, are very good for the blood streams. Research has shown benefits of beets to improve blood pressure (Source:Health). The benefits also include improvement for the functionality of the brain and muscles. Lime adds this summer vibe to the drink with its vitamin C in acidic flavour.Together, this drink is good for a good blood flow with refreshing taste.
Our Recommended Recipe: Blend 2 table spoons of walnuts, 2 or 3 beets and half of a lime together with 50ml-75ml water.
